This vinyl LP record features Tchaikovsky's fifth symphony, performed by Felix Heiss, released in 1964.The classical music genre and symphony style make this a timeless addition to any music collection, showcasing the artistry of Tchaikovsky in a classic format.

The front cover features a striking reproduction of a medieval-style religious fresco or icon, depicting a winged angelic figure (likely St. Boris or a similar saintly warrior-saint from Eastern Orthodox tradition) in a dramatic cave-like setting, with a halo, outstretched arms, and secondary figures including a horseman and onlookers. The artwork evokes Byzantine or early Russian religious art. The label “Sidelio” appears in black at the top left, with the composer’s name stylized as Tchaikovskovsky in teal script, and Fifth Symphony at the bottom in matching teal.

The back cover, in a plain beige/tan design with printed liner notes by Gregory Wyatt, provides a detailed historical and analytical overview of Tchaikovsky’s life, his Fifth Symphony, and the work’s emotional arc (fate motif, transformation from despair to triumph).

Housed in a cardboard sleeve which show signs of age, whist the 12" black vinyl record is in very good condition (VG).
